SEDA Building Visit and Talk: Scottish Timber Houses

Initial proposals for this visit have been put on hold in order that we can develop a full programme for the day. Any suggestions for additional buildings or projects for inclusion welcomed!

Following the recent inclusion of these houses on the Buildings Tour offered by Reforesting Scotland earlier this month we are hoping to arrange an afternoon event for SEDA members. Mary Kelly and Matt Bridgestock are in the process of organising the combined visit and talk to this joint venture project involving a collaboration between Locate Architects and Module Architects of Dunblane and DBM construction. The project was initiated as a competition entry providing two houses on a site near Stirling for a Government Agency – and comprising a new forester’s house along with a second house for sale. The project has been designed to provide an exemplar of timber use and local timber supply yet through a commercial D&B route.
