SEDA Visit & Film Event: 'Samsara'
The Birks Cinema, Aberfeldy, Perthshire
Monday 11th November 2013 Cinema Visit: 19:00 / Film start: 20:30
Following the recent refurbishment of the beautiful Birks Cinema in Aberfeldy, SEDA are pleased to announce a visit there to watch the film 'Samsara': neither a documentary nor a travelogue, it has been shot in 70mm film over 5 years in 25 countries and has a very moving environmental message. Go to http://barakasamsara.com for more details of the film and for a short trailer.
The cinema, which was refurbished by architect and long-standing SEDA member, Robin Baker (www.robinbakerarchitects.com), has been very carefully and imaginately restored and now includes a cafe/bar as well as the main 100-seat, digital 3D auditorium.
Usual ticket prices to see the film are £6.50 each but Robin has negotiated a group booking rate of £4.95 each. It is advisable to book in advance so please get in touch with Robin directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Robin has also offered to give a guided tour of the cinema before the showing of the film and we will be meeting at 19:00, at the cinema, for this and perhaps a bite to eat.
