SEDA Magazine launch - 25th July 2014
SEDA Magazine launch
Date: Friday 25th July 2014
Venue: Former Caledonia Road Church, Glasgow
Entry: Free or £3 donation on the door
The latest issue of the SEDA Magazine is all about the process of Making and those people who are involved. We're delighted to have had contributions from a diverse range of builders, craftsmen and makers describing their approaches and projects will be holding a Launch Event on Friday 25 July from 6pm at the former Caledonia Road Church in Glasgow.
Caledonia Road Church has been re-opened for the first time since it closed its doors in 1962. The SEDA magazine launch is one of a series of planned events over the coming year, organised under the title RE:DWELL - a collaborative project between art organisation WAVEparticle, architects Lateral North and Masters of Architecture students Frankie Murphy and Charis Cheiridou from Strathclyde University.
It is hoped that the planned event programme, will support the long-term redevelopment of Caledonia Road Church and open it up to the local community, to Glasgow city and beyond.
The re-opening of the Caledonia Road Church is supported by Glasgow City mCouncil, Stalled Spaces, NGHA and Urban Union, and is one of a series of opportunities developed by WAVEparticle as part of Art & Living & Laurieston, the art strategy for Laurieston - www.lauriestonlivingarts.com
This is an open invitation to anyone who would like to attend: the contributing authors will be there to chat further about their own approaches to Making and we plan to continue the chat at the just-opened Empire Cafe at the Briggait back across the river http://www.empire-cafe.org/about
We hope you can make it along!
