SEDA Pedalhaus Tour April 2014
SEDA Pedalhaus Tour
Saturday 5th April 2014
A joint event by Scottish Ecological Design Association and the AECB (Scotland)
Join us on the 5th of April for a short cycle and a tour of low energy homes in Loch Lomond National park. Deborah Macken and Tom Robinson will give us a tour of their award winning home and holiday cottages, designed to AECB silver standard (see http://www.eastcambusmoon.com/). The holiday cottages have recently been awarded the Green Tourism Award Gold Standard.
We plan to cycle out from stations in Clydebank and Balloch, via a long and a short route.
The short route will be at a gentle pace and no one will get left behind. The longer route is for those with more experience and may change at the last minute depending on the weather forecast.
You need to bring:
- a bike, in good working order
- a helmet
- suitable clothing
- some snacks
- spare inner tube and pump
- money for a coffee in Balloch
The ride is on public roads and cycle tracks, participants must exercise sound, mature judgment being responsible for their own and others’ safety. It is your responsibility to carry out manoeuvres safely and to adhere to the rules of the road.
