SEDAbuild School and Bridgend Farmhouse are delighted to present this one-day course delivered by the green roof expert Dusty Gedge.  A wildlife expert and international speaker on green infrastructure Dusty is also President of the European Federation of Green Roof Associations, founder of Livingroofs.org and co author of the The DIY Green Roof Guide.

The course is a mix of practical and theory covering the reasons to choose a green roof and the benefits in terms of sustainability, climate change adaptation and biodiversity.  You will find out the types of green roofs which can be built including different planting solutions and limitations to what can be done.  There will be specific focus on green roofing on different small-scale structures such as out houses, extensions and sheds.

The practical element of the course involves making a small section of roof for you to take home as a reference for later projects.

Delegates are requested to bring an impact drill to use during the practical session. A limited number of drills will be available on site provided by the organisers.

Ticket price includes access to the DIY Green Roof Guide (worth £15.00), a corner section of a green roof to take home, lunch, teas/coffee, plus the course price.

Reserve your ticket now using the 'Get Tickets' tab to the left to start sprouting your own green roof.
