SEDA Invites you to the return of our networking and discussion Greendrinks nights, restarting again in Edinburgh this time. We hope to see as many people as possible who attended the SEDA Assembly in May, and as well, anyone else who wants to get involved (Members or prospective Members) in what SEDA does next. You can come in person or online as we did last time.
This will be held from 6pm on Wednesday 01 June at the Augustine United Church in Edinburgh, Iona Room: 41 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh, Edinburgh, EH1 1EL
The Assembly on 7th May 2022 showed that SEDA is an organisation of individuals brimming with ideas of how to bring about beneficial change to our built environment and the wider community through ecological design. Joining together allows us to identify best practice, share information, be inspired, decide on priorities and amplify our influence. We identified six topics of immediate interest: Education, Climate Change & Net Zero, Planning/ Land Use/Biodiversity, Retrofit, Health & Well Being, Materials, Degrowth and at least two more topics of peripheral interest Policy and Culture.
A summary of the Assembly will be posted on the SEDA website very shortly, to remind you if you took part, or for those who weren't there to catch up.
In moving forward many of us recognise that, whilst we are generally identified as punching above our weight, we nonetheless struggle to get our message across to the wider political and business community and we need to strengthen our core team and alter our demographic if we are to be more influential and ensure that we remain relevant in the long term.
The follow up meeting on 1st June will be an open, informal blended event aiming to agree some specific actions and events under the principal topics discussed on 7th May, and others that may arise. There will be a bar and this time a pot luck supper (with vegetarian options at least) will be provided, for which we will ask for donations to cover costs on the night.
Please reserve your place in-person or online at:

As last time, we request that anyone attending in person, if possible take a lateral flow test to confirm they are not Covid positive, and clearly to not attend if they are positive or if you feel unwell generally. Wearing of masks will again be voluntary, and please feel free to stay distanced (though this will be a smaller room so it may be harder than last time).
We would welcome submissions of proposals for actions or events prior to the meeting, first from the working groups who took part in May, but also if you couldn't make it, or have suggestions for another theme that you think you would want to be involved in, then we'd love you to email them in advance. Please send these to David at: info@seda.uk.net
So please reserve your places, either online or in person, ideally no later than Tuesday 31 May, so we know how much to cook! We'll look forward to seeing you again there.
