After nearly 7 years of designing, preparing the site, fundraising, building and hard work by many volunteers we are delighted to be able to invite you to the launch of the Bridgend Eco-Bothy, compost toilet and play area. This project was in part enabled by SEDA Build and the project has been in motion since 2016!

The open public launch event will be on Saturday 8th October from 1-5pm. This will include speeches between 1 and 2pm, and then a family ceilidh, storytelling, performances, face-painting and more, along with a tour of the bothy and new outdoor sensory play area. The café will also be open serving food and drinks. It will also be opened by Scottish rugby legend, Gavin Hastings.

This is part of #CommunityLandWeek which runs from the 8th to the 16th October this year and is a celebration of community land owners across Scotland, which is hosted by Community Land Scotland.
