SEDA Show and Tell / Showcase 2021

  • SpACE Architecture Centre Lauriston Fire Station, 76-78 Lauriston Place Edinburgh. EH3 9DE United Kingdom (map)

As the Cop26 circus leaves town, you are invited to other SEDA members, in person and online, to share their work, ideas and experience form the last year, and to showcase this to the rest of Scotland at the same time, thanks to the SpACE centre in Edinburgh.

With the larger room (set a suitable capacity for social distancing) all will be welcome to see what SEDA members have been working on, and to meet them in person in a safe live event or watching online. The work will be presented as usual in ‘Pecha-Kucha’ style as short slide presentations on screen: only SEDA Members are allowed to present, and full details will be emailed shortly, but as in previous years this will be a maximum of 5 slides, sent as Powerpoint / PDF or equivalent file to the address below (with your name and ST21 in the title), no later than the end of Wednesday 01 December, if your place is confirmed. If you wish to take part, please email us at this same address asap to say so (again, members only to present) so we can reserve slots, and say whether it will be presented in person or remotely (slots will be shared out to get the best mix of projects and locations).

Send your request for places and when your when slot has been confirmed, your presentations to: info@seda.uk.net

As ever this will be a friendly and informal event, and a chance to showcase SEDA members’ work and passions to non-members, to share a beer and discuss what we will be doing next, and how we are all getting on . If attending in person, you will be required to wear a mask generally e.g. when not eating or presenting. Of course you must not attend if you have any Covid-like symptoms, awaiting test results, or if you have been told to isolate. If you have to or want to attend online, you will be sent a Zoom link in the confirmation email on reserving a place, from Eventbrite (see the link).

A selection of food and drinks will be provided for those attending live, for which we will ask a donation, we will sort out exactly what it is, but the suggested contribution on the night will be no more than £10. If at home, please bring your own drink and nibbles and join in the relaxed presentations as best we can, and we will see how to get you involved in the social parts as well. We hope you can make it!
