During this session of "Solar Expert Design, Installation and Maintenance", we will deep dive into areas beyond basics and use of controls, look at special design requirements to achieve the best performance, maintenance issues and how designs might go wrong - what to watch out for in design installation and looking after for the long term. We will also share a a case study of the prominent Bullitt Center in Seattle that besides fulfilling all electricity demand with its 14,303 sq. ft of integrated PV roof canopy, is also one of the greenest commercial buildings in the world.
Three short presentations will be followed by Q&A and discussions.
1. Solar Thermal - What to watch out for in design, installation, controls, and maintenance. Integration with space heating, domestic hot water and other heat sources (heat pumps etc) by Dan Gates, Principal Engineer, Luths Services.
2. Solar PV and Storage - What to watch out for in design, installation, controls, and maintenance. Integration with space heating, domestic hot water and other heat sources by -Jez Climas, Head of Reneawble Heat, Midsummer Energy.
